A ERITAGE situa-se no centro da capital Portuguesa, em frente ao Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA), o que nos inspira a criar um espaço experimental aberto ao diálogo transcultural em busca de novos formatos e processos criativos. Desta forma, desenvolvemos projectos artísticos que promovam experiências capazes de dissolver as fronteiras entre o artista e o público, entre a obra e o espectador, com propósito estimular uma nova percepção ética, de participação, coletividade, e mudança.

ERITAGE is located in the Portuguese capital, in front of MNAA (National Museum of Ancient Art), inspiring us to create a space open to intercultural dialogue in search of new formats and creative processes. Therefore, we develop artistic projects in order to promote experiences capable of dissolving the boundaries between the artist and the public, between the work and the spectator, with the purpose of stimulating a new ethical perception, of participation, collectivity, and change.

Bettina Saboia: Plastic pipes, fittings, wires, hoses and conduits. The artistic concept presented by Bettina Saboia comes from an inexplicable fascination and a literal appropriation of these simple materials, found in any house of construction and which, devoid of the invariable premise of its purposes, assume protagonism within a new condition. The fact is that, breaking with the conditional and its pre-established norms, the Carioca artist legitimizes its concept, breaks paradigms and gives life to the objects through a curious sculptural manipulation, while the explored pieces, previously reduced to the invisibility of their Function, they now highlight new colors and shapes defined from their own contours. In this way, as singular sculpture of colors, the circuits articulated by Bettina assume different discourses and innumerable aesthetic possibilities - something crude and, paradoxically, disconcerting. In this case, instead of being limited to the hydraulic or the electric, the installations created by the artist confront space, awaken senses and touch people, as if the exposed "structure", in a playful and subtle way, serves precisely to lead a new Look - which ends up differentiating art from a mere object.

Claude Charlier is a multi-faceted French artist, a well-known editorial photographer and a remnant of avant-garde pop art, famous mostly for the hyperrealistic painting of crumpled cans - an imposing symbol as well as Andy Warhol's legendary Cam

Claude Charlier is a multi-faceted French artist, a well-known editorial photographer and a remnant of avant-garde pop art, famous mostly for the hyperrealistic painting of crumpled cans - an imposing symbol as well as Andy Warhol's legendary Campbell Soup. But first of all, Claude Charlier is a Wozen, a true citizen of the world. Based in the USA, where he remains active and always in contact with different people, the artist of French origin began his history with cans in the Japanese capital, where he arrived with only a handbag to explore the oriental culture. At the time, without speaking a word in Japanese, Charlier faced difficult times and even lived in the street - just as he began to look at the cans in a different way. Today, after numerous laps, his canvases run the world in awe-inspiring auctions and large rooms, while his work remains active in galleries or studios.

De 21/05 a 12/07 - EXPOSIÇÃO COLECTIVA “FLECHA”

Instrumento primitivo, sinal elementar e símbolo de força –> a Flecha mostra-se presente na maioria das culturas e aqui, neste caso, designa a primeira exposição realizada na Wozen. Com a missão de abrir caminho e lançar a essência do estúdio-galeria, a coletiva cruza o espaço como uma espécie de panorama artístico paralelo, no qual os trabalhos apresentados vão de encontro a uma rica diversidade de estilos e ao seu consequente diálogo. Trata-se de um traço contínuo através de distintas propostas, nacionalidades e gerações, um encontro entre diferentes artistas que, de modo geral, trazem a referência urbana como elemento em comum, seja como suporte, plataforma ou fonte de inspiração. 

Primitive instrument, elementary sign and a symbol of strength -> the Arrow is present in multiple cultures and here evoked to the debut exhibition of WOZEN, a studio-gallery dedicated to the artistic pluralism. With the intent to open paths and spread the essence, the collective show “Flecha” crosses spaces as a live artistic panorama, in which the works presented offer a diversity of styles and a respective dialogue. A continuous and unerring line between different proposals, nationalities and generations, an encounter of different artists that have their libertarian painting in common.
