W.A.S.P.S. {Wozen Awesome Sunday Pocket Sessions} é mais um projeto nascido espontaneamente dentro da galeria. produzido com dois objetivos principais: proporcionar uma plataforma alternativa para novos músicos de Lisboa apresentarem seu talento; e tornar o dia de trabalho no domingo mais divertido. Para esta segunda edição da WASPS, tivemos o prazer de receber em nosso espaço o jovem talentoso artista francês Octave Lissner.
Octave Lissner nasceu em Paris dia 30 de Junho de 1993, dentro de uma família de músicos. Aos 23 anos, seguindo o sucesso do seu primeiro single ‘Silver Rain’ (2014), ele está lançando o seu primeiro álbum: Wildflower. Gravado na Sérvia com alguns dos melhores músicos de estúdio do país, oálbum revela o Rock Soul do Octave, com fortes elementos de Blues e Folk. As influências deste Francês passam por Otis Redding, Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, Burt Bacharach e Paul Simon. Mas também encontra diverisidade musical em músicos contemporâneos, incluindo Radiohead e Kings of Leon. Um compositor inquieto, Octave já escreveu para seriados online e também para o cinema; sua música ‘Little Mary’ compôs a trilha sonora do filme Vale de Amor (estrelando Gerard Depardieu e Isabelle Hupert). O filme foi nomeado para a Palma de Ouro no Festival de Cannes em 2015.

{Wozen Awesome Sunday Pocket Sessions} is another Wozen spontaneous project, created with two main purposes: to give new musicians from Lisbon an alternative platform to showcase their talent; and to make Sunday work more fun. For the second WASPS edition, we had the pleasure to host the talented french artist Octave Lissner.
Octave Lissner was born in Paris on June 30th 1993 to a musical family. At twenty-three, following the success of his debut EP featuring the single ‘Silver Rain’ (2014) he is releasing his first album: Wildflower. Recorded in Serbia with some of the country’s best session musicians, the album exhibits Octave’s soulful rock, with strong elements of blues and folk. Octave’s music takes particular influence from musicians like Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, Burt Bacharach and Paul Simon. But his musical attractions range widely and are diverse, including the more contemporary Radiohead and Kings of Leon. A restless composer, Octave has written music for web series and film soundtracks; his song 'Little Mary' featured in Valley of Love (starring Gerard Depardieu and Isabelle Huppert), part of the official selection of the 2015 Cannes film festival.
