Balloon Bomb 44-2018 | 14 manufactured concrete sculptures painted with Artgraf N1 over wood base, manufactured bags hovering underneath metal structure powered by engine developed by Pietro Proserpio • by the amazing Joana Gomes - The first installation is composed by sculptural pieces in the form of missiles, grenades, bombs. With different shapes and sizes under the bottom of a Balloon Bomb. From the rotation of this piece bags filled up with pigment, eventually will fall on the floor between the pumps. The implications of this installation are several: the idea of manufacturing bombs by women as a labor force and here translated by the artists manual work. The suggestion that anyone, in this case artificially, can construct a bomb / weapon (aspect brought also by 3D printers), the question of interval /
